Baby’s Breath is related to the carnation. Excellent as a cut flower. This annual is easy to grow and will be one of the first to bloom in the spring. Annual Baby’s Breath has larger blooms than the perennial variety. This flower needs well-drained soil and full or partial sun to grow. Flowers - Black Eyed Susan

Prefers full sun, but can tolerate partially shaded areas. Plant in early spring. This flower can flourish in almost any kind of soil as long as it is well-drained. It is an easily grown flower that will often reseed itself if the seeds make direct contact with the soil. The Black-Eyed Susan is very drought resistant and makes an exceptional cut flower. Depending on which zone this flower is planted in it can act as either an annual or perennial. In zones 7-10 it can be fall planted. Mix of orange, yellow and white hardy annual flowers that prefer a cooler climate. This flower may return each year after reseeding itself if it is planted in the appropriate growing zone. It is often referred to as an old fashioned marigold. This flower is a good cut flower. Calendulas are herbs and the petals from the flower are often added to salads for color. This flower may be started indoors but will last longer and thrive if it is planted outdoors in the spring. Some problems that are associated with this flower are aphids and mildew. Details 

Mix of red, pink, purple and white flowers are native to Mexico and require full sun. Cosmos work well as cut flowers and are good container plants. The Cosmos seed is a popular source of food for birds. Cosmos do not like extremely rich soil, if fertilized they will often grow too tall and not be able to stabilize themselves. Planting Cosmos in the spring and watering them until they are established will yield the highest quality plant. Once they are established they do not need nearly as much water. Sulphur Cosmos does well in hot, arid climates. The red, orange and yellow flowers bloom spring-fall. Plant in the spring when the soil warms up, otherwise the seed will sit dormant in the ground and rot, because heat is a necessary precursor to germination for this species. All Cosmos attract birds and make good cut flowers. This flower does better if planted in soil that is more infertile. Fertilizing it will cause overgrowth and instability.
