	Melon - Cantaloupe - Emerald Gem	Details
	Also known as 'Netted Gem' this Heirloom was introduced by Burpee in 1886. Globular shape melons generally weigh 3 pounds. Evenly ribbed with greenish skin and fine netting. The flesh is pale orange in color, and very sweet with a spicy aroma reminiscent of cinnamon. Melons can be a challenge to grow, and require good soil and hot weather. Start in pots. Vine productivity can be improved by pruning. When the vines are 2.5 feet long, remove the end buds, which will encourage lateral growth. PKT (50) $2
