Cucumber - Arkansas Little Leaf

Details 

Arkansas Little Leaf 55 days. This white-spined pickler has multiple disease resistance and excellent flavor. The compact plant has smaller than normal leaves which save space and make finding the cucumbers much easier. The parthenocarpic flowers (sets fruit without pollination) produce fruit under heat stress. Medium-sized, blocky fruits can be used for slicing and pickling. Developed by Univ of Arkansas. Cucumis melo var. flexuosus 60-70 days. Heirloom dating back to the 1400’s. The slender fruit is usually about 3 feet long and 3 inches in diameter, almost always bent and twisted. Tastes and looks like a cucumber but is actually a variety of melon. It is also known as the yard-long cucumber, snake cucumber or snake melon. The skin is very thin, light green, and bumpless. It has no bitterness and the fruit may be used without peeling. Best used when 12-18". Thrives in hot weather. PKT (50) $2
